He began producing albums when he was still in school and continued this into college where he met producer Alex Medina, and this resulted in him reconnecting with his faith.
However, before this, Mineo was a troublesome youth. He was removed from school due to bullying and acting out, and he was later placed into a behavior center.
Cicely Corry reports that Mineo cried out to God for help. “The idea of this Savior coming to die for my sin and give me a new life and a new heart, that summer at the dockside was really when it came to life for me.”
When in college, Medina introduced him to a ministry called TRUCE.
When in college, Medina introduced him to a ministry called TRUCE. It was full of likeminded teens who enjoyed the arts, hip-hop, and God.
Mineo began touring in 2009 and hasn’t looked back. He has released mixtapes, singles, albums, and in 2018, he received a gold certification for the single “You Can’t Stop Me”.
In 2019, Mineo created a music podcast called ‘Work in progress’.
This podcast coincided with the singles he was releasing where he brought on guests speakers to discuss the themes behind his music, the creative process, and the inspiration.
