Belfast-born alt-pop artist Rebekah Fitch released her new single “Loose Ends” on the 4th of March, and it has been added to our xRhythms playlist.
Rebekah released her debut EP called 'Broken Mind' in 2018 and has performed for many audiences since, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Her style centres on her love of melody and thought provoking lyrics alongside powerful vocals and progressive production. It is clear that she puts care and thought into the messages she puts into her music and does so consistently.
"Loose Ends” is a smooth electronica track that discusses the concept of only seeing small sections of a bigger picture and to hold on to hope, “Darling, your life is like a tapestry/ You gaze upon from underneath/ But all you see are threads and strings/ Hanging loose, so you can’t see/ The beauty seen from up above/ The finished picture made from love…”
I've always had a strong sense of purpose though my faith.
The positive and reassuring messages of her music are often rooted in her personal faith. In an interview with Irish News, she talks about her faith development and her wish for people to discuss bigger concepts. “I've always had a strong sense of purpose though my faith and so I had that to hold on to… I've found so much peace and hope in my faith. I think it's so important for people to ask the bigger questions in life: what do they find meaning in, and why are they here?”
“Loose Ends” can be found on our xRhythms playlist as well as other music channels.
