For King & Country
Pop
Australian pop duo for King & Country premiered a lyric video on the 29th January this year for their track “Amen (Reborn)", featuring Lecrae & The WRLDFMS Tony Williams, ahead of their album release for “Burn The Ships (Deluxe Edition: Remixes & Collaborations)” the following March. This has been added to our XRhythms playlist.
The lyrics of this track are rooted in the faith idea of being changed by accepting God, “Yeah, I'm comin' alive with You / I'm comin' alive with You / I was livin' a lie 'til You / I'm comin' alive with You.”
The GRAMMY award winning partnership is comprised of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, who were born in Australia and immigrated to America as children, settling in Nashville, Tennessee. They started out as backing musicians for their sister Rebecca St James before starting their own band.
Signed to Warner Music group.
They changed their name to their current moniker in 2009 after signing to Warner Music group with Ben Glover, who has written for and worked with the likes of Crowder, Britt Nicole and Chris Tomlin amongst others.
In October 2018 they released their third studio album “Burn The Ships” for which they would win a GRAMMY, as well as their single “God Only Knows”. More recently they have released a full-length Christmas album and the Deluxe edition of “Burn The Ships”.
