In truth, the hip-hop scene is crammed with rappers who can make with impressive flows but who have very limited musical knowledge.
This, however, is not the case of Gastonia, North Carolina-based Byron Juane, who’s ‘Lonely’ single has gone onto the xRhythms playlist.
Byron has been schooled in jazz, R&B and classical music, plus he has the ability to play drums, guitar, trumpet and keys.
‘Life In The Evening’, received rave reviews.
Byron’s album for Reflection Music Group (RMG) in 2017, ‘Life In The Evening’, received rave reviews. One particularly outstanding song on it was the title track, dedicated to the underdogs.
Byron began his recording career in 2016 under the moniker K¥NG, releasing a series of well-received singles and the EP ‘Aura’. But he decided to drop the pseudonym and instead use his birth name.
Admitting you lost someone irreplaceable is a pain most cannot fully come to terms with.
On the release of 'Lonely', he explained, “At times the hardest thing to do is to realize a relationship is actually over. Admitting you lost someone irreplaceable is a pain most cannot fully come to terms with.”
The track, infused as it is with tropical melodies and reggaeton influences, brings something fresh and invigorating to radio land.
We need to admit our deficiencies.
The lyrics, confronting a jaded ex-partner who refuses to address his or her own loneliness, get to the heart of an important issue: before we can find deep and satisfying relationships, we need to admit our deficiencies and begin to build new ways of interacting with those around us.
