If you’ve been bopping along to 'Nobody But You', 'Cool Like That' or 'We Like To Party' by Manchester’s Twelve24 on xRhythms you’re going to be disappointed with the news that the trio are no more.
Singer Christine Otoo-Anakwa has left the group.
However, the R&B/hip-hop/pop musical evangelists have not disappeared completely.
The group’s Josh Green and Ryan Griggs are continuing as duo Social Beingz, carrying the same heart and mission that was at the core of Twelve24.
Same vision, same mission, same passion, some of the same people but a whole new band.
Stated the duo on their website news, “Our sound will undoubtedly have some of the same elements that you have become accustomed to over the past 10 years, but it will at the same time start taking on a new direction as we write music for just the two of us to perform... For the future, it’s Social Beingz, fka Twelve24, same vision, same mission, same passion, some of the same people but a whole new band.”
Social Beingz have made a bright start.
They have already released three singles, 'All Cried Out (ft Tessa E)' issued in July 2018; 'Memories' (October 2018); 'Push My Love (To The Limit)' (January 2019); and 'Rollie' (May 2019).
There is a lot to be hoped for from Social Beingz.
Given their previous success, (they currently have over 230,000 YouTube views on the Twelve24 hit song 'Higher', ft Deronda K Lewis), and their present ambition to spread their message to an even wider audience, there is a lot to be hoped for from Social Beingz.
