A two way relationship

It took a while to put into words how I feel about my relationship with God. 

For the longest time I stuck to peace, it was after all easier to explain. But now I think companionship, and although more complicated to explain, I think it's all the more accurate. So with this poem, this is my attempt to try to make sense of it on your behalf.

"I only got words put together for you today.
I’ve got three friends for the price of one.
God, his son, and the Holy Spirit.
All there to accompany me out of messy situations.

I’ve got a friend for life,
whether I want one or not,
And he’s always got my back,
I’ll tell you that for free.

I’ve literally got a confident cause who’s he gonna tell my secrets to?
He not only listens,
He advises, guides, drives and provides feedback constructively.

I’m filled with so much light and peace,
Because knowing him, is knowing peace,
And loving him, is experiencing grace.

This friendship, turned relationship, now sonship,
Holds nothing for me but hope filled love,
And that’s just a few things I’ve come to learn about having a true courtship with him."
