This week on social media we’ve been sharing a series of people who have done some acts of kindness. It’s Random Act of Kindness week and it’s a great reminder for us all to be kind.
Days of the year explains this week as a time that encourages people to be loud about how easy it is to give to others.
Showing kindness can be big or small, but no matter the size of the act itself, the impact is always massive. It’s incredible how far being kind to someone can go!
One of the stories we shared was of Sebbie Hall. Seb is from Staffordshire, he is a teenager with physical and learning difficulties, and he has performed a random act of kindness every day since March 2020. He’s done over 1000 acts and raised over 20k to prevent loneliness in disadvantaged & disabled people!
His incredible efforts have been recognised by Her Majesty The Queen and he even won Prime Minister Boris Johnson's "Points of Light" award recognising outstanding individuals who are making a change in their community.
Seb’s acts have been so helpful to many, and his hope is to influence others to perform similar acts of kindness too.
There are so many powerful stories just like this that happen every day, and you can have an impact on others in the same way.
Take a minute to think about how you could be kind to someone this week!
