So winter is done, spring has been and gone, and it won’t be long before we start firing up the BBQ! If you’re anything like us you LOVE the sun, and one other thing we associate with summer fun is FESTIVALS! We’ve put together a list of our favourites (in no particular order) that you could go check out in 2022, whether that’s with friends, family or a church youth group! Enjoy!
Creation Fest
Creation Fest takes place down in Cornwall (near a place called Wadebridge) so when you’re not checking out the huge range of top-quality music artists on the festival’s numerous stages, you can head out and soak up some sun at the seaside. Or practice your kick-flips at the extensive skate park Creation Fest have on-site every year. This year’s artists are still being announced but Esther Cole and Benjamin Haycock - both of whom starred on ITV’s The Voice in 2021 - are confirmed, and with artists such as Guvna B and Bright City having headlined in recent years, we look forward to seeing who else Creation Fest has in store for us in 2022
LOCATION Wadebridge, Cornwall DATES 29th July - 1st August

Greenbelt
Not heard of Greenbelt? We certainly have, and it’s an essential for this summer! Greenbelt speaks of itself as ‘somewhere artistry meets activism, the secular meets the spiritual, politics meets positivity’…and in a world where there is a lot going on which sometimes seems out of our control, we think places like Greenbelt are more important than ever as we look to change the world for good. Their line-up of musicians is strong and includes Guvna B, but there are guest speakers, comedians, spoken word artists, poets…and more. So whatever you’re passionate about, chances are Greenbelt have you covered.
LOCATION Boughton House, Northamptonshire DATES 26 - 29th August

Festival22
Love Black Country exists to see the spiritual, social, economic and ecological transformation of the Black Country (Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Dudley) and encourages unity of all backgrounds, ages andethnicities. So if you're Midlands-based, come gather together and have fun in the beautiful grounds of Himley Park for a dynamic day of entertainment (including Guvna B) activities, music, food, creativity and fun for all the family!
LOCATION Himley Park DATE 9th July

New Wine
This year’s New Wine festival is called United, (don’t worry it’s unrelated to the football team!), and though live music will play a role, this is a chance to dig in deeper and connect with faith. Many people attend this one with their church and it takes place for a week. There are lots of guest speakers, live Christian music, and a chance to connect with friends and family who perhaps we haven’t seen as much these last two years. You can camp if you’re into that, or there are places to stay off-site too if you’re not a fan of an air-bed on a tent floor!
LOCATION East of England Showground, Peterborough DATES 29th July - 3rd August

Festival Manchester
The opening line of their promo video (below) is 'this is more than a festival' and having watched that video, we're inclined to agree with them! Festival Manchester is fun fairs, live music, extreme sports, (hopefully!) some sunshine and the chance to change communities by getting involved with social action projects too. On the music side they have LZ7, Matt Redman, Guvna B (he's got a busy summer hasn't he?) and Lecrae headlining along with plenty of others, so head to Manchester with your friends and enjoy!
LOCATION Wythenshawe Park, Manchester DATES 1-3rd July
