xRhythms Cookies

The xRhythms website sets a handful of cookies, none of which contain personal information:

• The cookie_consent cookie records whether you have seen a popup asking permission to store cookies on your device, and it expires after 1 year.
• The sessionid cookie allows us to distinguish you from other users when, for example, reacting to an article, and it expires after 24 hours.
• The csrftoken cookie is a security feature to prevent hackers stealing information, and it expires after 1 year.

3rd Party Cookies

We monitor and analyse traffic on our websites to help us improve our services and we use a third party service called Google Analytics to help us do this. Google Analytics also set cookies as part of collecting data on our behalf. The cookies set by Google Analytics are named _ga, _gid & _gat and you can find out more about Google Analytics data practices here.

We display adverts on some pages on the xRhythms site, and we use Google’s Ad Manager service to manage and display these adverts. Google Ad Manager sets a cookie called __gads and you can find out more here.
